It's Friday, which for many, is a reason to celebrate the end to another work week. If you do find yourself attending a party, be careful taking avocados. They tend to get smashed. /joke

Thursday Recap: BBBY traded between a low of $8.51 and a high of $9.33 before closing at $8.79. Trading volume was 15.4 million shares.

Cost to borrow: There were 950,000 shares available to borrow this morning and as of now, 950,000 remain. The cost to borrow has dropped to 13.8%. 

Pre market: Bed Bath and Beyond is trading down $0.21 to $8.58 a decrease of 2.39% on over 140 thousand volume.

Max pain: The current max pain for BBBY has remained at $10.00.

Thursday Recap: GME traded between a low of $27.86 and a high of $29.07 before closing at $28.61. Trading volume was 3.32 million shares.

Cost to borrow: There were 100,000 shares available earlier this morning. Currently there are 800 remaining. The cost to borrow has inched up to 10.3%.

Pre market: GameStop is trading down $0.60 to $28.01 a decrease of 2.10% on 25 thousand volume.

Max pain: The current max pain for GME has dropped to $30.00.

In the early 20th century, our favorite mashable fruit went by the unappealing name “alligator pear,” due to its bumpy green skin. The California Avocado Growers’ Exchange, a trade group, complained in a 1927 statement “That the avocado … should be called an alligator pear is beyond all understanding.” Alligator pear disappeared, and the fruit was called everything from calavo to butter pear to avocado pear before avocado finally stuck.

Upcoming Earnings Report

BBBY announced today that the Q2 fiscal earnings report will be made available on September 29, 2022 at 8:15am EDT.

FTD Update

The new FTD data was released yesterday. Keep in mind this is self reported data so take that how you will. We believe these numbers are grossly misrepresented and are actually much higher. Regardless, all of those fails will eventually need to be delivered. 

Note, there should never be *any* fails to deliver in a non-corrupt financial system.

Looking at the options chain, there are a slew of call options at $10.50. If BBBY can close above that today, we could enter into a gamma ramp that could begin a new ascending pattern next week. Let's see how this trading day concludes!
