Happy Southern Food Heritage Day! We're from the South so can truly appreciate this one. If you're up to it - have some deep south delicacies such as étouffée, gumbo, jambalaya or even a po boy!

Where do you go to buy and sell shrimp? The Prawn shop. /joke

In the south, we take pride in our Southern Ingenuity. That brings us to today's clever life hack. Can't reach your shrubs with your hedge trimmer? Elevate your yard maintenance with this trick:

Now that's using your crane-ium!

Did you know?

According to culinary history, étouffée was first served in the Hebert Hotel in the early 1920s when Mrs. Hebert, along with her daughters, Yoli and Marie, made crawfish étouffée using crawfish tails, crawfish fat, onions and pepper.

Why Do the Prices Keep Dropping?

We hear that quite frequently. We believe there's a multitude of reasons:

  • The "dollar squeeze" seems to be a factor - in case you haven't noticed, the Dow Jones Industrial average has dropped about 15% since the middle of August.

  • An increase in short selling - GameStop alone was shorted over 74% on Friday.

  • Continuous routing of buy orders through ATS (dark pools) while routing sell orders through lit exchanges.

This is all going to blow up one day. It may not be today. It may not be tomorrow. One day, it will be the day. Until then, we continue to buy and hold. Tick tock, tick tock.
