Good Morning! This is Mother Squeezer, the newsletter that feels proud with you and also brings you clever life hacks, updates and insights, along with timely information about our favorite Activist Investor, Ryan Cohen, and our favorite stocks - GME and BBBY.
We're so proud! Yesterday, there were over 1.7 million shares borrowed to short BBBY and it still closed up! We feel that was a huge achievement and are ready to see what today brings.
We're only 7 trading days away from the Bed Bath and Beyond earnings call. While we don't have high expectations about the last quarter earnings, we are excited to hear what Bed Bath and Beyond has to say. We've learned not to listen to other news sources, just focus on the official releases.
However, It was difficult to look past this headline: Breaking News: Cartoonist found dead in the street. Details are sketchy. /joke
If there's one thing we've learned through this journey, it is the "news" always has an agenda. However, we found a really good use for newspaper. That brings us to today's clever life hack, use newspaper to alleviate bad odors from your shoes:
If you're in Cleveland, be sure not to use the sports section...it stinks.

What Gives?
For a stock with under a $650MM market cap, why does BBBY get so much press?
Honestly, we don't read mainstream media, just did a search for headlines for today's newsletter. It didn't take long to find a negative headline pertaining to BBBY.
There are plenty of companies worth more than Bed Bath and Beyond or that would be more relevant to mainstream readers. Why does BBBY get so much attention?
We have our suspicions. That's why we continue to hold and accumulate more on the dips.

If the 7-4-1 theory holds true, we'll have 1 tweet this month which means it'll be coming in the next 11 days. (He tweeted 4 times in August and 7 times in July).
